Obtain the free float of each company: the number of shares available for public trading, the number of shares outstanding and the free float as the share of the outstanding shares that can be traded (as a decimal). A low free float means few shares change hands, which tends to make a stock less liquid and more volatile.

Also known as: free float, float shares, public float, share liquidity.
