Obtain the earnings call transcripts of each company: the full text of the call, with management’s prepared remarks followed by the questions of analysts and the answers. Transcripts explain the numbers in the financial statements in management’s own words, and with that are a strong input for text analysis and AI models, e.g. to track sentiment, guidance or recurring themes over time.

A transcript is long (often 40,000 to 60,000 characters) and every quarter is a separate request. By default only the most recent transcript is retrieved. With fiscal_period (e.g. “2025Q4”) the call of that fiscal quarter is retrieved, and with latest=False every transcript between this Toolkit instance’s start_date and end_date. A fiscal period without a transcript is logged together with the most recent periods that do have one. Each transcript is cached on its own, since a published transcript does not change, so a quarter is only retrieved once.

Also known as: earnings call, conference call transcript, earnings transcript.
